Re-birth of the Love

This is a project I'll be working on for a little while yet. This is my personal bike, a Pegoretti Love #3, in fact the first bike I ever bought from Dario almost 5 years ago. I've had this built up before, which you can read about here. When this article was written our goal was to build the best race bike we could imagine and felt we did just that. Now, I am going to do that again, but even more importantly, make it look the part! We'll see what happens. Stay tuned for that, but it is going to involve some Super Record and a paint booth...

F'ing fantastic! Turned out absolutely perfect, thank you JT (Spectrum)!

Out of the bubble wrap. There is still something very special about the handbuilt bicycle. So many ways to personalize it, and being a Pegoretti, there is no doubt that you will not lose one degree of performance to any other bike on the road and in fact will come ahead of most if not all...

Perfect job matching the not quite white paint...

Details

I think Dario calls this paint scheme 'Franz' now. Whatever it is, it's awesome and can be great in almost any color combination...

3T ARX Team stem, and as you can see, 110mm/-17. I've shrunk or something as last time I rode this bike I was using a 120mm stem w/ Deda deep drop bars which are not short. Oh well, compact is good...

So, next up, components... stay tuned! And really, this is the time of the year to get these kinds of projects started, so give us a call and we'll get you going!

Thanks for reading!

Parlee Z5 in Chicory!

Here's a quick sneak peak of a Parlee Z5 we are building right now. Had to stop as we have the wrong sized spindle for the compact Cannondale SI SRM crank and also didn't get the correct length for the custom battery mount. Learn something every day here... This bike is just plain rad, in aesthetic and performance. I think I may even have issues falling asleep tonight thinking of the finished product! Lightweights w/ the blacked out logo's, said SI SRM, pretty damn cool Deda aluminum post, The hard to get Continental Competition classics tires, our favorite bars and stem in the Deda Zero 100's, Shimano Di2 and of course a Fizik saddle...

Hopefully getting a Saturday delivery for the longer spindle...

This is a 104mm spindle, but when using a compact SI crank you need a special width, not really sure what that is now, guess we'll see tomorrow...

Parlee, please do us one favor and keep this logo...

At first, wasn't sure I'd dig this post. Now, I like. Quite a bit actually...

Bad pic, sorry, but this is the custom battery mount. Nice, clean and simple.

Again, nice, clean and simple. Had to keep the bolt here for the SRM magnet...

Most likely won't be able to finish the bike until Tuesday, but we'll have some great photo's for you all! Thanks for reading. And yes, the KOBH report is coming, like I said, hard to sit still today!

Pinarello KOBH

Since we now have more than a thousand miles on our own Pinarello KOBH it is time to share our thoughts on this bike. Where does it fit in the line, who it's really for, how it rides etc... We also just built up another one in the red and white color scheme and wanted to post a picture of that as well, so stay tuned for a full review shortly.

The 51cm frame that we have been riding, more pics and our thoughts coming shortly, maybe even tomorrow if I can sit still long enough to write it all down!

The 57cm we built today. Love both colors but this one will get a little tweaking, thinking white tape and maybe the new Campagnolo hoods and cables in red? We'll see. Then of course it'll be looking for a good home!
